n8kcomics grew from a personal collection which spans more years than I care to admit to.  Although I have attended comic conventions for a few decades, n8k as a Company first started on the internet as a partnership. As the first names of the two partners started with N & K, the '&' had to change to an '8' because of HTML internet dictates. We have operated as n8kcomics since 1998,  when we changed the name from n8k@kingston . n8kcomics  has brought and sold comics for record amounts and paid record amounts for comics. Until a partial collection clean-out in 2000  one of the Partners had one of the best collection of EC Gaines File Copies in North America. n8kcomics  were one of the first to embrace the importance of CGC in their role as third-party graders. In a world where a fraction of a grade can mean thousands of dollars, the importance of an impartial grader is obvious. To this extent we became Members of CGC and are proud to offer grading through this web-site at CGC's lowest price available. n8kcomics  does this as a service and does not profiteer in any way through books graded through our web-site. As CGC grew in stature and its graded books set unprecedented auction records we began to notice that high quality ungraded books pre-1975 were disappearing, especially becoming non-existent at the major conventions. With this is mind we decided to use our web-site as a vehicle and source for such books.
